Hello, I am Daniel
I like to think myself as an imaginative village boy who ended up becoming successful internationally. My goal is to use Design to help solve a problem and make life better for my clients and their audiences.

"LITTLE EINSTEIN"
My passion for Design goes back to my childhood. I grew up with my grandma in a small village near Barcelona. Our house had a massive attic full of what others would call clutter – old games from the time my aunts were little to clothes and furniture of all styles. Since I didn’t have that much toys suitable for my age, I used the old stuffs to build my own toys.
As child, I used to say that I wanted to be an inventor. In my mind, I was already one because when playing, I would use my aunts’ old toys and pair them with old cereal boxes to create shops, cities and many other types of scenery.
As teenage, my ‘’invention’’ game reached a whole new level. I got my first computer and used Powerpoint to produce my own videos. I also discovered how to play with layouts and found innovative ways to present them.
Because I also loved science and maths, I participated in many maths contests and gained the nickname ‘’Einstein”.
At 17, I even did a research piece for my school around optical illusions which ended up being published in a book.
MADRID - BARCELONA
MADRID - BARCELONA
I moved to Barcelona to study Advertising and Public Relations & later on an MA of Art Direction. During this period, some of my teachers noticed my talent and encouraged me to work more as ‘thinker’ and less as a ‘producer’.
Like any village kid, there comes a time when you know that in order to grow, you will need to leave and go to the big city.
After graduation, I went to Madrid to work at Young and Rubicam. Later on, I worked in graphic design/branding teams for a few years.
With the development of the Internet, I started becoming more interested and involved with digital. This led me to pursue new opportunities for development. I decided to move to London to work and found a job at lastminute.com despite not being a fan of doing things ‘’last minute’’.
LONDON & NEW YORK
LONDON & NEW YORK
London opened a whole new world to me. I bought my first iPhone – mind you that at that time, an iPhone was something new and totally spectacular - and started a love affair with product design which would last until today.
I took all the opportunities I could in order to become more involved with Product Design and as I evolved more into Art Director role, I became highly involved in the pitches.
Later on, New York showed up as a natural evolution in my pathway as I’ve been working for well known-brands around the world.
SPARK DESIGN THINKING
SPARK DESIGN THINKING
I am also passionate about helping spark design thinking in the new generation of Designers. That’s why it’s an honour for me to be teaching children at the science museum.
It’s not different from playing at my grandma’s attic.
Some call me UX/UI Designer, Experience Designer, Creative Director, Art Director but, at the end of the day, I am still pretty much doing what I love most: to fix things with good design.
